Plot of sand on Dubai’s Jumeirah Bay Island sells for record $34 million – CBS News

“A British fashion entrepreneur has sold a coveted plot of sand on a luxury island in Dubai in a record-setting deal.  The empty, 24,500-square-foot parcel of land, which lies on the man-made Jumeirah Bay Island and has no structures on it, sold for 125 million dirhams, or $34 million, on April 19, according to Knight Frank, the real estate firm that brokered the off-market deal. The sale is noteworthy because of the property’s sparseness — previous headline-grabbing sales in Dubai have been of mega-mansions and ultra-luxurious apartments.”

UNESCO plans to reconstruct heritage sites in Iraq – All Arab News

“Many historians see ancient Babylon, which was located in modern Iraq, as the cradle of human civilization. During a recent three-day visit to Iraq, beginning on March 6, UNESCO director-general Audrey Azoulay vowed to restore the war-ravaged country’s looted historical sites.  “We all know what Iraq has been through over the last decades,” Azoulay told the press. “And we also know what the civilizations of this world owe to Iraq.”  In 2018, Azoulay launched the “Revive the Spirit of Mosul” initiative in partnership with the European Union and the United Arab Emirates. On her Iraq visit, she emphasized that UNESCO “is very committed to assisting Iraq in the recuperation of the cultural goods and artifacts that have been looted over the last decades.” While recognizing that a considerable amount of work remains unfinished, Azoulay said UNESCO was proud to have assisted in recovering almost 18,000 historical artifacts for Iraq over the last two years.  Many of these artifacts are now stored at the Iraq National Museum in Baghdad, and Azoulay visited the museum during her trip to the country last week. The UNESCO chief said among the artifacts returned to Iraq by the United States was “the famous Gilgamesh tablet.” The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of the world’s oldest surviving works of literature.”,works%20of%20literature.

Genesis 11:4,9 They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”….Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the whole earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole earth.

AI Deciphers Ancient Babylonian Texts And Finds Beautiful Lost Hymn | IFLScience

“In another breakthrough, Jiménez and a colleague from Iraq identified a hymn to the city of Babylon with the help of Fragmentarium. Jiménez explains: “The text is lovely. You can imagine the city very well. It describes spring arriving in Babylon.” “Hitherto there have been no hymns to cities in Babylonian literature. Now we have found 15 new fragments of it. Without the Fragmentarium, the reconstruction would have taken 30 or 40 years,” he adds. The hymn reads as follows:  “The river Arahtu, – created by Nudimmud, the Lord of Wisdom – Waters the plain, drenches the reeds, Pours out its waters into lagoon and sea. It’s blooming and green on his fields, The meadows shimmer with fresh grain; Thanks to him the corn piles up in heaps and heaps, Grass grows high for pasture for the flocks, With riches and splendor befitting mankind, [All is] covered in glorious abundance.” So far, just 200 researchers from around the world have used the online platform for their work. However, as of February 2023, Fragmentarium will be free for the public to use.”,to%20use.

Daniel 2:36-38 “This was the dream; now we will tell its interpretation before the king. You, O king, are the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, the power, the strength and the glory; and wherever the sons of men dwell, or the beasts of the field, or the birds of the sky, He has given them into your hand and has caused you to rule over them all. You are the head of gold.

Daniel 4:34-37 “But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever;

For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
And His kingdom endures from generation to generation.
“All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing,
But He does according to His will in the host of heaven
And among the inhabitants of earth;
And no one can ward off His hand
Or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’

At that time my reason returned to me. And my majesty and splendor were restored to me for the glory of my kingdom, and my counselors and my nobles began seeking me out; so I was reestablished in my sovereignty, and surpassing greatness was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”
